CBC Advisors Takes Top Honors at 2016 CCIM Excellence Awards

Four CBC Advisors Professionals Receive Six Awards

SALT LAKE CITY (March 24, 2016)CCIM Utah recognized professionals from Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors (CBC Advisors) as more than 400 business leaders gathered at The Grand America Hotel for the 2016 Excellence Awards. The annual awards ceremony recognizes community leaders for outstanding contributions and exemplifying the highest degree of business excellence in Utah’s commercial real estate industry and economy.

Each year, the Utah CCIM Chapter board of directors reviews applications from award candidates, which are uploaded electronically and short-listed to three finalists in each category. A panel of over one hundred business, civic, and industry leaders use a web-based judging site for final review and vote.

CBC Advisors achieved top honors at the ceremony with four of its seven nominated professionals winning awards. Brandon Fugal received the most awards of any professional at the ceremony with a total of three awards, including Top Commercial Broker of the Year, Office Broker of the Year, and Top Commercial Real Estate Lease Transaction of the Year (Landlord). Monica Rafferty was awarded CCIM of the Year and was also nominated for Investment Broker of the Year. Tim Simonsen was named Retail Broker of the Year. Ben Richardson received Rookie of the Year.

Adding to the firm’s historic night, CBC Advisors swept the Retail Broker of the Year category for a third straight year with both finalists, Simonsen and Stuart Thain. Thain previously had received consecutive Retail Broker of the Year awards in 2015 and 2014. Mary Street became the second ever Utah County-based commercial real estate agent selected as a finalist at the Excellence Awards and the first CBC Advisors broker nominated in the Multi-Family Broker of the Year category. Felicity Hatton-Ward was named a finalist for Property Manager of the Year.
