CBC Advisors Completes Second Run to Support HIVEs Initiatives

Program Receives $20,000 in Donations

Salt Lake City (September 12, 2016) – The Street Team at Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors (CBC Advisors) sponsored its second 0.5 kilometer (0.5K) Ability Run on behalf of Just For Kids of Utah County, a nonprofit that provides academic and activity-based programs for individuals with disabilities and their families. The Fun Run raised almost $20,000 for future HIVEs (Habilitation Independence Vocation Education Socialization) program initiatives.

“We are so impressed with Just For Kids and the character of their organization,” said Bill Street, Investment Sales Specialist and member of the Street Team at CBC Advisors. “Last year this event helped raise enough money to buy a bus for their program and continued its successful program development again this year.”

With over 250 participants, the sponsored 0.5K race focused fundraising on tuition subsidizing for the children and adults enrolled in Just For Kids of Utah County. Just For Kids provide opportunities and activity programs for children with disabilities including summer school, adult educational, team sports, tournaments and a place for children to learn, socialize and exercise independence.

“We are grateful for the support of The Street Team at CBC Advisors and Lehi City for helping us provide successful services for individuals with disabilities,” said Michelle Holbrook, .5K Ability Run Organizer. “Because it’s the kids’ event, students also contribute to the fundraising by auctioning off baked goods and homemade crafts. It’s a must-attend community event.”
