History of Excellence
– CBC Advisors began its legacy of excellence in Salt Lake City. Fueled by the production of a young but phenomenally successful office broker named Brandon Fugal, the firm became the largest Coldwell Banker Commercial franchise in just three years’ time.
– The Salt Lake City franchise was purchased by Coldwell Banker Commercial corporate before merging with two other smaller commercial real estate firms to become the largest office brokerage in the Salt Lake market.
– The group then acquired Prime Commercial, featuring Stuart Thain and Tim Simonsen as top producers. At the time, Prime was the largest retail brokerage in Salt Lake City. The merger created the largest commercial real estate firm in Utah. The newly formed company quickly rose to being one of America’s record-setting commercial real estate firms.
– As the organization grew, it shattered previous sales achievements by setting nearly every brand record available. The results led to the company becoming the largest commercial brokerage in the Intermountain West with office locations in Alaska and throughout Idaho.
– Fugal, Simonsen, and Thain acquired the Salt Lake holdings from Coldwell Banker Commercial corporate. Directly following the acquisition Lew Cramer joined CBC Advisors as President and CEO, leaving his position as the founding President and CEO of the World Trade Center Utah where he tripled Utah exports in seven years. Kevin Long, the first broker Fugal recruited in 1998, accepted the position of Principal Broker and COO. After the change in management CBC Advisors shifted its focus on growing the brand and providing dynamic tools and services to its agents and clients.
– Rob Cord joined CBC Advisors as President of Asset Services and in three short months tripled the firm’s property portfolio to 20 million square feet under management. Under Rob’s leadership, CBC Advisors began opening Asset Services offices across the country to enhance service for institutional-grade properties nationwide. At the end of the year, CBC Advisors announced the acquisition of NAI Vista. The move further strengthened the firm’s investment presence while powerfully positioning its professionals in the heart of Salt Lake City with a prestigious office location on the 22nd floor of 111 Main.
–Coldwell Banker Commercial’s top-performing affiliates worldwide merged when CBC Advisors acquired CBC Alliance. The historic acquisition and resulting expansion created a powerful national footprint in primary and secondary markets across the United States, restoring the most respected brand in commercial real estate. All 10 CBC Alliance offices throughout New York, California, Texas, Florida, and Colorado began advising clients under the CBC Advisors brand.
